Luxe Boutique YYC is a Authentic Second Hand Consignment Store delivering incredible deals to your living room, kitchen, office or wherever you wish to get your 'SHOP' on. Beatrice wanted to expand their online reach to include a store to compliment their existing presence on Instagram. Customers would still be able to purchase direct on Instagram but with the new online store an even greater band of luxury shoppers could take advantage of some truly remarkable deals.
PROJECT STATUS
Completed. Website continues to be maintained and is online but not actively marketing/selling as the site was a pilot for another project.
THE SOLUTION
Luxeboutiqueyyc.com provides a seamless extension of Beatrice's existing 'store' on Instagram. The inventory between stores is kept in sync with an Instagram Feed on the website clearly noting that customers may choose to purchase on either platform depending on their personal preference. The website includes a site wide search across the top of the header and the ability to sort / filter when searching the vast inventory. Payment options also mirror those offered on Instagram.
In addition to the store, website visitors are also offered Beatrice's Personal Shopper service which is displayed prominently across the website including in the footer.
THE DESIGN STYLE
With the design of an Online Store the focus becomes less about style and more about functionality. That said you want to do both really well. Moving back to Minimalistic Design and a Grayscale approach allowed for the color Magenta to really grab your attention. The color is used sparingly on the homepage for just that reason.
